Cruisers are a 1930s classic design

Don’t write off the cruiser as a serious bike! The original mountain bikes in the 1970s where based on cruisers and balloon-tire paperboy bikes, like the Schwinn Excelsior.

Even hardcore modern lycra adorned roadies get their “brain rewired” riding a cruiser.
