INQUIRE ABOUT THIS BIKE

Second production MTB after the Stumpjumper, which was famously first out of the factories, based on other peoples’ frame designs but let’s not go down that road right this minute.

Build

This was a complete teardown and rebuild, down to the bearings in the pedals. Even the paint was given a working over but we left all the scars and patina (completely coated in carnauba wax, especially with that raw steel at places, no rust after many months). This bike live life hard before its big spa day.

  • The handlebar grips work well with the bullmoose, makes the antlers bigger. The wee integrated barends are actually an important part of the ride, paddles are nice grips and the curved inner bar end is great to ride around corners pushing down and out with the inner hand. Good for pulling up on out of the saddle.
  • The one picture in the workstand is the bike as originally found.
